To become a member of Aabita, we have a few rules and guidelines you must agree with before your name can be added to the list. Please read these over before applying.

1. The Golden Rule - Do unto others as you would have them do to you. In other words, we're all trying to be mature and polite here. We would appreciate the same courtesy in return.
2. Politeness is KEY. Rude and/or mean comments will not be tolerated. This group is designed to educate and protect, not harass and flame.
2b. This includes no name calling, of any kind! I know, some people want to point and say THIEF! THIEF!,
but that's not what we're here for.
3. Every claim will be verified BEFORE action is taken. If you wish to complain about art theft, be prepared to back up your claim.
4. Any email/comments you send must be polite and considerate! Yes, we get angry about art theft, and yes, sometimes the thief is a pain to deal with. However, flame-inducing comments will get you nowhere fast. If you want to go around flaming people, then this group is not for you.
5. If you have a problem with an artist, you are more than welcome to post in the forum, asking for help. One or two comments might not work, but comments from the entire group will at least get noticed. However, please wait a reasonable amount of time before taking this next step!! Sometimes, a person doesn't get on or log into their account for several days. We don't want to flood someone with comments/emails when they're not there to get them.
6. Keep a record of EVERYTHING. There is a place in the forum to do so. Dates, names, links, anything like that. Public posted claims where we ask for members to email/comment will do if there is already a topic. They will be locked and moved to the Log Room when the matter is closed.
7. Sign up on the forums. This is how we keep in contact with each other, as well as rally support.
